S&P U.S. Market Sectoral Analysis
The week is starting of slowly with Technology and Healthcare being the only two sectors out of the block. The S&P 500 (INDEXSP:.INX) has started falling since the day’s open of $2,273.15 to a current value of $2,271.92 which is marginal difference of -$5.02(0.22%).
The S&P 500 has been making steady progress over the past month due to holiday shopping and positive economic data. It is now in a mild retraction do to a fall off in immediate revenue.
The Day’s Winning Sectors
On Monday the Technology sector of the S&P 500 is up by +0.15% cumulatively since last month and rose by +2.00% in relation to the S&P before midday. This happens to be the highest rise of all the sectors. Stocks within this sector are helping to bolster the downward fall of the S&P.
Also on Monday the Healthcare sector of the S&P is up by +0.09% cumulatively over the last month and fell by -0.56% before midday. However there are several stocks in healthcare that are doing exceptionally well since the day’s opening.

Energy and Financials sectors had the greatest loss overall by midday monday trading. Energy fell by -0.64% in relation to the S&P 500. Financials fell by -1.37% in relation to the S&P 500 as of monday midday trading.
