As the stock market is looking for some cues, there are at least five to seven stocks that are worth watching on Friday. These included Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL), Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT), Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) and Starbucks Corporation (NASDAQ:SBUX). Aside from these, Chevron Corporation (NYSE:CVX) and Honeywell International Inc (NYSE:HON) are scheduled to disclose their earnings number before the bell.

  • Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) reported adjusted earnings of $9.36 a share for the fourth quarter that missed analysts’ estimate of $9.64 a share. The company’s top line, which grew 22.18 percent to $26.06 billion, however topped the analysts’ expectations of $25.23 billion. The earnings miss could mean that the company is facing pricing pressure on advertisements placed on its platform.
  • Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT): The company announced adjusted earnings of 83 cents a share for the December quarter, which topped analysts’ estimate by four cents. Its revenue of $24.09 billion came in below the analysts’ expectations of $25.28 billion.
  • Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC): The chip maker reported adjusted profit per share of 79 cents for the fourth quarter on revenue of $16.37 billion, which witnessed 9.79 percent growth. Both topped the Street analysts’ estimates of 75 cents a share on revenue of $15.75 billion.
  • Starbucks Corporation (NASDAQ:SBUX): The company revealed operating earnings of 52 cents a share for the December quarter, which is in line with the Street estimates. Its top line, which advanced 6.69 percent to $5.73 billion, fell short of analysts’ predictions of $5.85 billion. The company reiterated its full year adjusted EPS of $2.12 – $2.14 while Street analysts are looking for an EPS of $2.14.
  • Juniper Networks, Inc. (NYSE:JNPR) reported earnings of 66 cents a share on total revenue of $1.39 billion for the fourth quarter. Street analysts estimate the company to report 63 cents a share on revenue of $1.36 billion. Its guidance for the second quarter fell short of estimates. The company guided EPS 38 – 44 cents a share for the first quarter while analysts expected 45 cents.
  • Wynn Resorts, Limited (NASDAQ:WYNN): The company reported earnings of 50 cents a share for the fourth quarter. This is short of analysts’ expectations of 86 cents a share. However, revenue, which was $1.30 billion, came in above the expected level of $1.26 billion.
  • American Airlines Group Inc (NASDAQ:AAL) to reveal its financial results before the bell. Market sees an EPS of $0.91.
  • Chevron Corporation (NYSE:CVX) to announce its December quarter results. Street expects the company to report EPS of $0.66.
  • Colgate-Palmolive Co (NYSE:CL) is slated to reveal its financial results before the market opens. Analysts are looking for an EPS of 75 cents.
  • Honeywell International Inc (NYSE:HON) to release its quarterly numbers. Analysts are looking for an EPS of $1.74.
