EDAP TMS (NASDAQ:EDAP) reported net income for the first quarter of $ 1.80 million or $ 0.06 per share, compared to income $ 1.50 million or $ 0.06 per share for the year-ago quarter.
The Vaulx-en-Velin, France based company recorded Total Revenue for first quarter decreased 4% to $ 9.29 million from $ 9.63 million in the same quarter last year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected EDAP to report loss of $ 0.01 per share on revenue of $ 9.87 million for the first quarter.
Marc Oczachowski, CEO, said: Our first quarter revenues remain in line with our revenues from first quarter 2016. We continue to expand our education efforts in the U.S. as demonstrated by our successful addition of more than 50 new urologists to our HIFU training program during the first quarter.
